A Second Trip to New Hampshire. Still with no boat in tow.

A Second Trip to New Hampshire. Still with no boat in tow.

I made another trek up to New Hampshire yesterday in the continuing ‘bill of sale’ saga. Hopefully, this 3rd version of the bill of sale will appease the good state of Massachusetts and they will allow me to register the trailer and take the boat back home.

Aside from the relatively scenic ride up to NH, the other good part of my day was that I got to spend some alone time with the boat. I was able to get a much better sense of what I’m in store for. On the interior, there is one section where the carpet is peeling in the cuddy, and there is a snap broken under the back to back chair. Seriously. That’s in for the interior. The boat was really cared for.

On the exterior, aside from the need for a good wash,  I did come across a pretty good size crack in the transom that does concern me a bit. That’ll eventually be something I’ll likely need to address..but for now, I figure to just cover it with some caulk or fiberglass.

The only other thing that I’m not looking forward to is trying to figure out how to install that bimini top. Lots of poles, lots of canvas, all just tossed on the deck at this point. Of course, there are no instructions.

Here are some of the latest and greatest photos.

A peek into the cuddy. All the vinyl could use a nice washing.

The section in the upper right is the 'trouble' spot.

This is an artist rendering of what the boat will look like with its new name. Currentyl it's called THE AQUA HOLIC. And despite it being 'bad luck' to change a boats name, I cannot allow Aqua Holic to remain.
